Kalangala District NGO Forum (KADINGO) was formed in February 2002, established a functional secretariat in 2003, registered with the Community Based Services department in 2004 under financial support of Action Aid International – Kalangala project with material support from Uganda National NGO Forum . It registered as an NGO under the NGO statute in 2008 and certified under Quality Assurance Mechanisms (QuAM) in 2010. The organization was among the first five NGOs to be QuAmed. It was also awarded a monument in recognition of being one of the first District network to be certified under the (QuAM). It brings together almost 77 Civil Society Organizations including religious Organizations, Community Based organizations, academic Institutions
